Suggest Treatment For Severe Upper Back Pain

Hello, I have a really bad pain in my upper back, and it feels like a tight cramp in my left upper lung. I figured it would dissolve itself throughout the day, but it has yet to go away, and it s been around eight to nine hours. This is the first time this has happened since I was younger (the last time I remember having the issue, I was eleven), and I never received an exact answer on what this is/ is caused by. I was wondering if this was a symptom to anything serious, and whether or not i should schedule an appt. with my GP?

Hi,

You should schedule the appointment as chest pain can be caused by many many causes and we need to rule them out with examination and investigations.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
