I was originally feeling quick sharp pains in my bladder. After a time it progressed in to pain in my urethra. The pain felt more significant with an erection. I went to the doctor on Thursday to find out if it may be a urinary infection. My urine was tested but there was no sign of infection. At which point my doctor gave me a rectal exam to feel my prostate. She asked if I was feeling any tenderness and I informed her I felt a lot of pressure. She then explained she thought my prostate was inflamed. It is two days after the exam and my anus still hurts from the exam, and the pain in my penis hurts more now than when I went in to the doctors. The pain is continuously there in my anus and urethra no matter what activity. I can feel the pain even sitting. It s not a doubling over sort of pain, but it is an extreme irritant to me.
I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.
I also suggest using antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin to treat the infection of the prostate.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
