Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Shingles due to herpes zoster is an infection caused by the varicella-zoster virus and attack the skin, mucosa, and nerves. Because it is caused by a virus, it can heal itself (self-limiting disease) within a few days as long as the immune system or immune system increases. Antiviral drugs (Acyclovir) are intended to speed up the healing phase of the disease by shutting down the virus.

One of the most common complications of herpes zoster is the pain or burning sensation in areas of the skin that previously had herpes zoster infection.

As with your clinical history, if I were your treating doctor, I'll consider this therapy modality:
1. Acyclovir
2. Continue using Pregabalin, if it is not working you can use Amitriptyline
3. Lidocaine patch.

But, I recommend you to meet your treating doctor for further evaluation and management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nurul Falah
