Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath.

Hi.
I'm having pain on the sides of my lower abdomen when I cough, sneeze, laugh, etc. It almost feels like after a good workout. I'm also experiencing shortness of breath. I have asthma, but this SOB feels different and isn't relieved with a rescue inhaler.

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of pleuritic chest pain is more. And the most common cause for pleuritic chest pain is lung infection.
You are also having worsening of breathlessness. Infection is also common cause for worsening of asthma.
So possibility of LRTI (lower respiratory tract infection) is more in your case.
So better to get done chest x ray to rule out this.
You may need antibiotics, mucolytic and expectorant drugs.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
