My daughter 27, has been diagnosed with costochondritis. She also suffers lower back pain and has a click in her hip. Her shoulders hurt and her jaw feels like it is dropping down. She has had this now for over 2 years. Amitriptyline makes her angry and develop signs of depression. She s tried physiotheripists but they haven t helped. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. It is better to check her electrolytes like sodium ,potassium, calcium, magnesium etc. Vitamin D and B12 level should be checked also. In case of such deficiencies also this occurs. A consultation with rheumatologist should be done also.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
