Hello,

You are having small, red bumps like rashes on the right arm and shoulder. They are not itchy but do not go away. You are suggested to wash the affected area thoroughly, take care of your hygiene and stay away from irritants. Wear loose clothes and use a powder to reduce friction. If obese try to loose weight. Avoid use of fragrant soaps and lotions, use water based lotions so that they do not clog your pores. Avoid direct exposure to sun, do not wear metals that trigger skin allergy causing rash. You can take non sedating antihistamines to control symptoms of allergy.

Apply cold compress for relieve. Applying a thin layer of ointment Neosporin or Soframycin will help to reduce rash. You can take a course of doxycycline-100mg since you have the rashes since 2 weeks. Prefer to take vegetarian food over non-vegetarian food. Stay well hydrated. Avoid oily, spicy and packaged food. take fresh food. Take bath regularly and wash your clothes in hot water frequently. Do not share your toiletries. Be careful of what you eat, food allergy also triggers rashes. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
