Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Cough

i have been experiencing a sore throat, and really bad coughing sometimes with bloody mucus or sometimes with just thick slimy mucus. i have had these same symptoms since october of last year and i have no idea what to do. every time i go to see a doctor about this, they say its probably allergies, but ive been taking allergy medications for a couple months now, hoping things would get better, but no such luck.

Cough of such long duration is either due to Allergy or Chronic Infections or Problems in Lung . You need to be evaluated to see what is the cause of your chronic Cough.

But in my experience Cough due to allergy will not cause Bloody Mucus . I am suspecting either Chronic Infections or other diseases of the lungs .

I advise you to get Chest X ray , Sputum for Culture Sensitivity tests , Sputum for AFB , ESR and Monteuax test done and revert back .

It would be better if you can consult a Physician or a Pulmonologist who can evaluate thoroughly and get to the root cause of your problem .
