Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat In A 6 Years Old Child
My son is 6 yrs old and started complaining of a sore throat on Monday. He started running a fever on monday night. Now he is coughing and his eyes are red. Visine helps. He also keeps getting a fever. I have given him tylenol, triaminic, and ibuprofen. All help briefly, then the fever come back. He says he feels fine and does not really act sick. Just seems more tired than usual. His highest temp was 102.8. Not sure if I should take him to the er. We just moved here so I dont have a dr yet.

It seems that he is suffering from acute bacterial pharyngitis.
Try Amoxyclav for 5 days 2 times daily.
It may help.
If no improvement consult pediatrician.
