Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat With Fever

I woke up with an extremely sore throat, it hurts to swallow. It feels swollen and bruised. I also have a small fever. I was wondering what this could be, I'm trying to schedule an appointment with my doctor but everything seems to be closed. Are there any home remedies to hold me off until I get an appointment?

Hello

You seem to be having a throat infection and may need antibiotics for it. Meanwhile you should avoid cold and spicy food and can start gargling with warm salt water 3-4 times a day , it will give you some relief.You can also take green tea , it will help.Please meet your doctor as soon s you can.
