If swallowing of saliva is difficult also , there may be need for admission in hospital for IV Fluid . One also need to rule out any infection needing treatment . You have not mentioned about having fever or not ? Try to give her liquid diet . For pain you can use paracetamol syrup . Hope this answers your question.
