Suggest Treatment For Soreness In Knee Cap After Injury

I twisted left ankle who l e walking my dog and fell on my right knee. The pain is behind the kneecap and 6 weeks o w still very sore. I am 56 yrs, 160lbs and 5 3 . I d I d not see my doctor after the fall because the swelling went down the next day. Should I go see my doctor since the knee is stills o re?

Yes, i would suggest you to show it to your doctor as I believe that it can be a ligament or a cartilage injury. If he wish after clinical examination he can get MRI of the ankle and knee joint. If there is any cartilage or ligament injury then It will need arthroscopy surgery. If there is no such injury then it will need physiotherapy and steroid injection in the knee joint.
