Suggest Treatment For Soreness In Nostrils
Hello, I am a sore in my nostril, possibly due to blowing my nose, as i am feeling head coldy. Could be due to dry ,dusty,windy conditions - i was outdoors last weekend. Otherwise maybe a cold sore? or infected follicle - I am looking for quick relief, as i am attending a wedding in 2 days & i would love to here if there is anyway i can help in healing process? I have rummaged thru my medicine cabinet & have canestan ointment , cold sore ointment & chlorsig eye ointment in the refrigerator ? would it be worth trying any of these? Thankyou =)

Hi,
Soreness in nose after going through dusty, dry and windy conditions can be due to overblowing and thus causing a folliculitis or hair follicle infection.
The local treatment like Canestan ointment, sold sore ointment should not be applied inside.
I would advise you to consult your Doctor for proper clinical examination and have prescription based medicines like antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine.
Hot fomentation helps.
Stop blowing or fondling the nose.
Continue the medicines till cured.
Stop cleaning the nose or pricking the nose as itching may get aggravated.
