Suggest Treatment For Soreness In The Gums

I have a gap in between my two front teeth and now that the gap is starting to close the piece of skin in between it is becoming sore and I can feel it with my toungue. It hurts if I bite down all the way and it's annoying since I can feel it there. What should I do?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems that you have a midline diastema leading to gap between front two teeth and as the gum.between it is becoming painful , it can be due to high buccal frenulum that is a fold of mucosa attached between cheek and gum..

As you must be ta Orthodontic treatment to close the gaps the mucosa is getting impinged between teeth leading to pain and inflammation..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Surgeon or Orthodontist and get evaluated and removal of the mucosa by frenulectomy procedure has to be done followed by closing the gaps..

As of now apply numbing gel containing Lignocaine over the sore area to relieve pain..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
