Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain sores on tongue and gums along with numbing sensation of lips and face can be very much a withdrawal side effect of Steroid, if the withdrawal of the drug was not done in a tapering manner..

You should wait and watch as the symptoms will resolve gradually..

As of now you can start gargling with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine to relieve pain in sores..
You can also gargle with a steroid containing mouthwash..
Suck ice pops and drink plenty of cool water..
You can also take Vitamin B complex supplements daily..

For numbness start doing alternate warm and cool compresses..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
