Suggest Treatment For Stabbing Pain In The Pelvic Area
Blood work showed high level of arthritis last week. past 4 days have excruciating stabbing pain in baIck pelvic area, hard to sleep due to pain. Today have a low grade (100) fever which I believe is from inflammation. Supposed to see dr at 1 pm tomorrow- debating whether or not to go to ER today- have been taking Cipro and Tylenol- My plan is to keep eye on fever - if it goes to 103 should I just go to ER?
If that is the case, if the pain is not getting better or is getting worse, and you do spike a fever greater than 101, I would be concerned that the infection is getting worse and possibly spreading to the kidneys, and for that I would recommend going to the ER.
However, if the pain is stable and your temperature does not get too high, waiting to see your doctor would be reasonable.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician

Suggest Treatment For Stabbing Pain In The Pelvic Area
Hello, I m assuming you are taking the Cipro for a possible or confirmed urinary tract infection.
