Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, ive had stiff and sore neck off and on for years. Had an mri in 2007 and report showed slight bulging in c6 c7? Also said something about Lordosis? Any how the Doc said nothing looked surgical and just left it at that. It hasnt gone away and now my left shoulder hurts so bad I can hardly lift my arm. It feels weak, almost like I have to help it above my head! Im 36 could I have arthritis?...sooo frusterated!
The symptoms seem to be related to arthritis. So, I recommend to check the rheumatoid factor level for further evaluation. Meanwhile, I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application. Gentle stretching exercises can also be helpful for relieve.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
