Hi.
Thank for your query.
Noted the history about a 30 year old male having problem of left sided stomach pain in 2009 and was diagnosed as esophageal ulcer between nipple area. Librax was given and you got cured.
But no a days getting the similar pain and catches cold frequently. Quit and re-started
smoking. Wants to know whether to take same medicine or what should be done.
Since the pain is in the left side of abdomen there can be gastric ulcer. Secondly you need a valid prescription for many of the medicines.
And most important is to get a proper diagnopsis since the problem has started after 7 years.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Upper GI
Endoscopy.
Ultrasound of abdomen.
Tests of stool, blood and urine.
Clinical evaluation by your Doctor for correlation with reports and to give you prescription based curative treatment.
In the meanwhile take the following:
PPI like
Omeprazole.
An
antacid three hourly.
Soft bland small frequent feeds.
Avoid all the foods, beverages and factors that instigate or enhance your problems.
Stop smoking obviously.
