Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Bruising On Knee

Yes please, i was on my knees today building my daughtera metal bed frame up. I went to walk on my knees quite fast and banged my knee off the corner of the frame. I felt sick with pin as soon as it happened. As the day has went on the swelling and bruising is really bad and i cn hardly walk. Do you think i have done any damage to it?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
You have got trauma to your knees while working. Bruising and swelling indicates significant amount of trauma. I wold like further investigation like radiograph of of both knees anteroposterior and lateral views to rule out bony injury. Once bony trauma ruled out I would prescribe tab diclofenac plus serratiopeptodase combination twice a day. Also take tab pantocid 40mg once a day before meals. Apply cold compress over affected area and avoid putting pressure on your knees for few days till pain is relieved. All the best..
