Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Pops In Knee After Injury

I was sitting on my recliner on September 7th when I went to cross my left leg over my right leg and heard a snap on the inner side of my left knee with instant pain that almost caused me to be sick to my stomach. I then got a pain from my calf to upper buttock area. I have seen an Orthopedic Surgeon and they took x-rays and told me I needed a Synvics shot. I got one on the 10th, but am still having swelling and my knee constantly snaps and pops and hurts all the time. My knee now feels warm to the touch.

Hello,

I have studied your case.

Swelling and warm feeling can be due to synvics shot.
Along with this snap and pops can be due to meniscus injury.
As per your history there is possibility of soft tissue injury in knee.
Most commonly meniscus injury occurs.

As per your symptoms you need to do physiotherapy and knee exercises to improve range of motion .
If pain persist then you may need to do MRI again to see for any functional defect.

Small meniscus tear can be managed conservatively with physiotherapy with USG and TENS.
Meniscus injury can be managed by arthroscopic repair.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Hope for your speedy recovery.

Take care
