Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Knee Due To A Torn Tendon

I was diagnosed with a torn tendon of the left knee and given a cortisone injection which helped reduce swelling and improve mobility/flexibility. But I still have mild twinges of pain if I do anything more strenuous than walking. Will this heal eventually or will more invasive (surgery) measures need to be taken???

Hi,
It is not tendon tear as this would not allow u to extend the knee due to break in quadriceps apparatus.

DIAGNOSIS: ligament tear ( probably ACL tear )
TREATMENT:
1) Long leg knee brace
2) Quadriceps exercises
3) MRI SCAN OF KNEE
4) If the MRI shows a clear cut tear or avulsion , the solution is
SURGERY: ACL Reconstruction ( ARTHROSCOPIC )
