Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Ankle And Foot

I take Phillips Milk of Magnesia sometimes 3x week,could it cause swelling in my feet/ankles/calves...more so on left side...I ve had 6 surgeries in the last 1 3/4 yrs..cervical fusion/thoracic..2 lower lumbar,rotator cuff and biceps tears,2hand...this coming Tue I m having another op..anyway...I ve had all pre admission tests..blood work good,EKG good,chest xray good.Urine analysis good..the swelling happened after neck/shoulder ops bad...had Doppler tests they were fine..tryin to give you a brief history..went to my md today..I have

Probably milk of magnesia is not the reason, but lower spine may be involved with nerve implications, or it may be starting of arthritis. One thing should also be checked -the serum sodium and pottassium levels, imbalance in electrolytes can also lead to this
