Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Calf

I was kicked in the calf 7 days ago hard while playing soccer and had an x ray, no broken bones, but the swelling and bruising is increasing and is very painful. I still have to use crutches to get around. Why is it lastig so long and what can I do to speed the process?
