Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Finger

I got a splinter a few days ago (thought I got most of it out) but now the area at the top joint of my finger is slightly swollen, colored, and mildly painful. I m 12 weeks pregnant and worried about whether I should be seeing a doctor immediately or wait until my obgyn appointment in three days...This is my first pregnancy and I have a tendency to make mountains out of mole hills.

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got a splinter in the top joint of your finger . Now it is slightly swollen, colored and mildly painful. These are normal for a finger which got splinter few days earlier. You can very well wait for until your obgyn appointment which is after 3 days You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
