Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Head

Hello, I have a bulge on the back of my head that is painful. It hurts even when I am not touching in, especially when I turn my head. It hurts even more when I touch it. I have had this in the past and it went away but now it came back. I have had it for a couple of days. Any idea of what this could be or how I can help to decrease or relieve the bulge?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
I have studied your case and I think it can be a lipoma or a access. I would recommend you to get ultrasound examination of the neck to confirm the diagnosis. Your doctor may asked you to get a needle biopsy also.
If it is a lipoma it can be removed surgically. It is amiminor procedure and you will be fine after that . If it is a pus or access or fluid than you can try antibiotics treatment. This will take care of the fluid and it will get absorbed soon.
I hope this answer will be useful. Let me know if there is any other follow up questions.
Thanks
