Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Knee After Injury

injury to knee, in severe pain. Hit top of knee cap on underside of metal gooseneck trailer in back of truck. this was 3 weeks ago. Didn t hurt past first day other than bloodblister/scratch and minor bone pain the next day. 2 weeks after injury, knee started hurting and it began swelling. Got brace for knee treated with ice and ibuprofen and after a few days heat in morning and ice in evening. Tonight pain became unbearable. unable to find any comfortable position to put leg in to lessen pain. ice not helping, it is dull achy pain, feels like someone is squeezing my bone from the bottom of knee cap and pushing upwards. Any ideas?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got injury to your knee. It was healing well but suddenly more pain started occurring. I fear whether you got infection? Whether you have fever? You need rest analgesic. You may need antibiotic if having. It swelling increases then incision and drainage may be required.
