Suggest Treatment For Swollen Belly In Diabetes Patient

i need an immediate ans plz.....i m not the patient bt i m writting u the symptoms. he is a diabetic & high blood pressure patient.now he has a swelled belly since 3 days.he has difficulties in stooling.he feels vomiting.doctors suggested that its a blockage & the treatment is only surgery.is there any other remedy?

Hello,
It looks that the patient has developed intestinal obstruction.
If the intestinal obstruction is partial,then the treatment is conservative but if the intestinal obstruction is complete,then treatment is surgical.
In case of any doubt,consult some other surgeon for an alternate opinion.
Sometimes patient develops PARALYTICAL ILEUS also,which requires treatment by intravenous fluids and replacement of electrolytes only.
