Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Node At The Base Of The Skull

I have what I believe to be a swollen occipital lymph node at the base of my skull on the right side. It is quite painful to lay on or touch. I am also 6 months pregnant and have no other symptoms of illness at the present time. Did have neck pain and a headache when I woke up this morning.

Hello!

My name is Dr. Aida and I am glad to attend you on Healthcaremagic!

I agree with you on the fact that it seems to be a reactive inflammatory lymph node. It could be caused by an inner ear infection or inflammation in this area. The neck pain could also be a sign of inflammation.
Coming to this reason, I would recommend consulting with your doctor for a physical exam, a complete blood count and PCR for inflammation.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Best regards!
