Suggest Treatment For Swollen, itchy And Red Toe With White Discharge

Hello, My pinky toe is swollen red and very itchy. Last night i looked closely and saw a clear liquid coming from a crack at the bottom of my toe (on the inside by my other toe). The area is white like i have been in the water for too long. i squeezed the area and was squirted by this clear goo that is slightly sticky. It itches like crazy and is painful to walk on. I can also feel throbing and see my skin color changing just on the toe. i am diabetic and am freaking out. Please help.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
it is infection in your little toe and it has to be taken very seriously as it can spread in whole foot and can cause trouble. I would suggest you to show it to doctor as it may need daily dressing and cleaning of the wound. If there is any blackening of the little toe then it may require removal of that black part. I would also suggest you to make sure that your blood sugar is under control. As if sugar is not under normal limit, then infection is not going to heal.
