Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have throat pain due to chronic laryngitis which could be due to acid reflux , post nasal drip due to sinusitis , allergic rhinitis ( as you also mention ) or upper respiratory track infection . I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles and betadine gargles alternatively , take bendryl twice a day and avoid spicy and heavy food specially at night. It could be possible without reflux. Need not to worry. Consult ENT specialist without any delay because infection may spread down to respiratory track and cause lung infection also . Doctor may order certain tests like throat swab test , CT scan , viral culture test and blood test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at least for 10 day , decongestant , expectorant , anti allergic drug and drug like sucralfate for healing of throat . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist or allergy specialist in case of acid reflux or allergic condition.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
