Suggest Treatment For Throwing Up Curdled Milk In Infants

Hi Doctor,
My son is 1.5 months old, He is on breast feed. Off late he has been throwing up curdled milk and also sometimes clear milk in small quantities. My paed advised domestal thrice a day. He was 2.6kg when born and now after a month he is 3.6kg.
Is it fine to give domestal to one on breast fed milk.
Thanks.

Commonest cause is physiological gastroesophageal reflux.since your baby has gained weight properly this looks like the cause.Treatment is domstal and proton pump inhibitors and proper positioning of baby. Milk scan can be done to diagnose it.Rarely vomiting is due to congenital problems like congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis. In it babies look seek, don't gain proper weight.it can be diagnosed by USG and it requires urgent surgery
