OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,

As I have gone through your query, I have noticed two different complaints. 1. Your hormone imbalance and 2. The swelling in the axilla, which is most likely unrelated and needs physical examination by a doctor.

The abnormal bleeding pattern you were experiencing is due to the hormone disturbance associated with PCOD. In addition, disturbances in thyroid profile also add to the imbalance, so this needs to be corrected too. Any other hormone imbalance also should be simultaneously looked for and corrected.

Supplementary management includes maintenance of a healthy lifestyle and nutritional supplements. Metformin is one useful drug to counter insulin resistance, if any. You need not worry about infertility as there are several methods to manage the condition and often, the response is good.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
