Suggest Treatment For Thyroid Problem

Hello. Im 19, i suffer from either Hypothyroidism or Hyperthyroidism. Not for sure which. Im 5'11" and weigh 143. I do smoke Marjuauna. But I was just hanging out and noticed suddenly my thyroid swelled to the size of a medium strawberry. I did smoke alittle but it has never affected it, so far. I doubt it would but not sure. Hurts to swallow anything but i can breathe fine. Thank god. I was wanting to know if theres any way to help it go down or maybe help the swelling at least. I have no money so I cant go nowhere to get nothing. Im using an ice pack for the moment.

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi dear user
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

If you have pain in the thyroid gland when you swallow, this maybe means inflammation (probability for thyroiditis).

My advice is to meet an endocrinolog because you need to do the thyroid tests (TSH,T4,T3) to understand the actual thyroid function and an ultrasound to see the thyroid structure. Then the doctor can decide for the diagnoe and for the treatement (if necessary).

Hope i have answered to your questions.
Thank you for using HCM.
Best regards.
