Suggest Treatment For Tiredness In Teens

My 13 year old son has recently been complaining of being tired all the time. He sleeps 8-10 hours each night. He does participate in sports, but has been doing that since the age of 5. Is this the normal growth spurt making him tired, or should I take him to his pediatrician to make sure nothing is wrong?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Welcome to the healthcaremagic
If it is recent then you can wait for few days for the symptoms to resolve. But if symptoms persists then you should take him to a pediatrician. Cause could be anemia or hypothyroidism. You can rule out these things by doing CBC AND THYROID FUNCTION TESTS.Give him chicken liver one small piece daily and one egg daily.
Happy to help you
Best regards
