Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my lab report did not tell me the size of the 5 polyps removed. They were read as so-called villous and tubulovillous polyps. Neither was I told the number of each type. How should I pursue inquiry to get these answers? I was also told to have another colonoscopy in one year. Is there preventive measures to keep them from returning, also what are the odds that they might return? Thank you for information regarding this matter. Shirley
Noted you had tubulovillous polyp that has been removed ...
Here you are telling polyp 5 in number... When polyp are multiple it has to be removed..... And chances of malignancy more when multiple and villous type....
So follow up screening needed with subsequent biopsy ....
Try to limit non veg foods.... Fruits taken more.... More water taken .... Junk foods kept limited.....
Hope your concern solved....
Take care
