Suggest Treatment For Typhoid Fever
its been more than 2 weeks i'm on medication but my typhoid fever is not getting cured my fever started with 104 degree F but after that its constantly been between 99 to 100 deg F what.. my widal test was positve i got it done on 7th of january 2014 my treatment was started with 500mg of cefexime for 5 days ie. till 11 but my fever got back so my doc. started my treatment again with the same drug on 17jan till yesterday ie. 3rd feb. i still have 99-100 deg F fever. What do u suggest i should do?? should i continue my medicine or change my medicine or stop taking it as my doct suggested

Acording to me,only cefixime is not sufficient for typhoid,you have to take ofloxacin 400 mg. with it.
Take this combination medicines at least 15 days.
You will get recovery within 3 to 5 day and get complete cure within 15 days.
Take paracetamol to control the fever.
take more simple and liquid diet.
Drink more water and other liquids like fruit juices,coconut water,lemon water,glucose with vitamin c and zinc formula.
If you are not getting improvement with this combination drug then indoor treatment is required with intra venous fluid and antibiotic like ceftriaxone.
Keep in touch with your doctor.
Also ask your doctor for typhoid vaccine to prevent recurrence.
