Suggest Treatment For Ulcerative Colitis

Hello, I'm a 47 year old female with Ulcerative Colitis (in remission after a long course of Prednisone, and now on Lialda), and have Interstitial Cystitis (irritating, but not horrible). I had UTI last week, and was prescribed Cipro. Now I'm having some UC-like symptoms. Was there a better antibiotic choice for me?! I take prophylactic Macrobid , so that wasn't an option. What do you think? Thank you so much for answering my question.
