My mother in law has had a catherer put in by her urologist because she has had numerous botoxs treatments and continued to have incontinence problems. She also takes myrbetriq. She is 92 years old and wants to know if the catherer can reverse her condition of urinary retention?

Hello and thank you for your question. The catheter will not reverse urinary incontinence. There are several medications that can be dried for incontinence, however, if the Botox injections have not worked the medications would be unlikely to work. Best
