I am a 48 year old Male who have been taking Cipro for 3 days now (Diagnosed with Urinary Tract Infection) - I still cannot really urinate - when I do I have to push hard like their is a blockage. I went to our local Urgent Care Center and have an appt with a Urologist Monday.
Dear- I read your question in detail and agreed that the best thing is to have an urologist evaluation. You can have an enlarged prostate giving you the urinary problem. Other possibility is an urethral stricture or a "lazy bladder" which means that the muscle of the bladder is not contracting the way it shoud and you have a hard time moving out the urine. Prostatitis is another possibility. I hope that my advise has been helpful Dr.JC
