General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, there can be a possible issue with underlying calculus or gravels in the urinary system as bladder, ureter or kidney.

However, in the age of 54, urethra narrowing due to recurrent infection can be the second-best possibility for ruling out with expert neurosurgeon to figure out the therapy guidelines.

What best you can opt here would be- drink more liquids
- maintain genital hygiene
- keep blood sugar under control
- avoid vaginal sex if active till recovery

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
