Suggest Treatment For Urinary Retention

Two weeks ago I was having alot of pressure and felt like I had to push to urninate. I have had several days where I could barely go and 1 day of brown urine. Pressure turned in constant pain went to er said I had bladder spasm. Dr said I had blood and pus in urine and immediately told me to go to urologist. I cant see urologist till 26th and I am in alot of pain. My question is what can cause blood and puss in my urine. I have taken Vicodin for 3 years for pain as needed.

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
Your problem i can understand fully, as i'm an Urologist.
Blood and pus in urine are indication of infection.
Your age is not known. You should have a urine culture, blood sugar, creatinine,PSA and an Ultrasound scan of abdomen.
This will help in making treatment easier and faster. If you want expert advice from me as an Urologist, send the reports in my name.
Wish you well.
