Suggest Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection

I had a urine infection two weeks ago, got antibiotics. Finished them and then Wednesday gone got this burning in my vulva. Not really going. The urine infection has gone been tested but this burning is getting me down and don t think it smells right either.

Understand your concern.
Burning sensation is remain due to residual infection, it will take 7-10 days more.
Or it may be due to recurrent urinary tract infections.

Recurrent UTIs are symptomatic UTIs that follow resolution of an earlier episode, usually after appropriate treatment.

Recurrent UTIs include relapses (symptomatic recurrent UTIs with the same organism following adequate therapy) and UTI caused by a second bacterial isolate)

Causative factor:
E. coli, Staphylococcus saprophyticus (10 to 15 percent), Enterococcus, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, and Proteus
Diabetes mellitus, neurologic conditions, chronic institutional residence,

Treatment are below
1. three day course of trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole
2. Fluoroquinolones and nitrofurantoin become better options in your case for TMP-SMX resistance increases

3. Or you can take take ceftazidime parentrally.

Follow up urine culture after 14 days to confirm the eradication of bacteria.
Tablet cetrizine
Take plenty of water
Wipe pelvic area after and before urination
Maintain pelvic hygiene
Take fruits like orange, papaya, pineapple and cranberry
Urine alkali agent like potassium citrate
Wear pure cotton loose inner wear
Use liquid based lotion that contain vitamin and minerals.
Do not delay in empty the bladder
Always empty the bladder completely
