Suggest Treatment For Uterine Polyp During Pregnancy

My sister-in-law is 12 week pregnant. She was told after a routine exam that she has has a large polyp (not sure size) and doctors are recommending removing to avoid risk of infection, further growth or other complications. My brother is at the hospital now with his wife and felling uncertain if having this removed is the right thing to do (scared of miscarriage). His wife had one miscarriage last year. We are eager to get a secondr opinion. Renee

welcome to hcm,
uterine polyp can be left if they does not cause any problem but being this polyp larger in size, it can hinder in the pregnancy period.
the best treatment for large uterine polyp is to remove the polyp using a hysteroscope. it can hinder while the child grows.
now a days there are good gynecologists who can remove the polyps without causing any problems to the fetus.
hope this explains
with regards
