Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Pain

A day after sex- On the opening of my vagina, there is a place it feels and looks like it s been rubbed raw. When I urinate, It hurts the raw place. It is very uncomfortable. It s been about 4 days and it s still there, unsure whether it s because it s in a spot where it s taking a while to heal due to the location. But, it s not bumps it looks as if a layer of skin has been rubbed off. No discharge, and no odor, Doesn t really itch either, just very sore. Please help!

Hallow Dear,

Near the opening of vagina, under Labia majora, there are glands named as Bartholin's Glands. These glands may get infected during intercourse if the partner is having infection. These glands get infected usually by STD - Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea. If it forms abscess, it will require incision and marsupialization.

Please report to your Gynaecologist. Early treatment may prevent abscess formation.

Both of you need to undergo antibiotics treatment simultaneously to prevent the recurrence.
