Hi,

Certainly, thyroid problems, in particular hypothyroidism can result in many of your symptoms. The most common type of hypothyroidism is Hashimoto's thyroiditis which is in fact an auto-immune disorder. There are many cases of depression and psychiatric disturbances liked with this type of disease and this does need to be investigated if not already done. Adrenal disorders can also be auto-immune related, such as Autoimmune Addison's Disease. This would explain many of your symptoms. With Addison's Disease however you would likely also have moderately low blood pressure and have a sensation of fainting frequently.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. David Girardi, Internal Medicine Specialist
