Suggest Treatment For Vomiting And Acid Reflux

Two days ago I threw up all night. I assumed it was food poisoning from an egg salad sandwich, though I did not have diarrhea. When I was throwing up, no food ever came out, not even with the initial vomiting. Primarily liquids, though I had eaten 4 hours previously. The next morning, yesterday, I was constipated, and felt bloated all day, and in the evening had terrible acid reflux (not normal for me) It was hard to eat that day. Today, I had a bowel movement, but still am having trouble eating. For example, I had a piece of toast and three hours later I still feel incredibly full, and my stomach seems distended to me. What could it be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.

Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) involves a stepwise approach. The goals are to control symptoms, to heal esophagitis, and to prevent recurrent esophagitis or other complications. The treatment is based on lifestyle modification and control of gastric acid secretion through medical therapy with antacids or PPIs or surgical treatment with corrective antireflux surgery.
This is caused by irritation of stomach mucosa by certain food or medications, stress and smoking. It should be treated by changing lifestyle habits first and in severe cases medications or surgery may be required. You need to avoid fried food, carbonated drinks, coffee, alcohol and spicy food. You should eat more milk products, vegetables and boiled food. Also, certain antiacid medications may be required by diagnosis should be established first.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
