Suggest Treatment For Vomiting And Diarrhea

Vomiting and diarrhea for two months, lost 60 pounds, seen by primary and gastroenterologist, only giving me medications, still can t eat anything but pudding or applesauce and drinking ensure, weak, miserable, can t get any cause so what can I do now?

Hi thanks for asking question.
You have vomitting and diarrhea since long duration.

Continue with the medication.
Meanwhile cause has to be searched according to history and physical examination.

If you have anorexia and repeated infections also associated look for HIV.Elisa test can be done for its detection.

Rule out hyperthyroidism by serum thyroid profile.

You have not done endoscopy.Endoscopic examination has to be done.It might reveal changes regarding inflammatory bowel disease.Biopsy also helpful.

The other possibility could be microscopic colitis for which biopsy taken from suspected area.

Stool examination also done to rule out chronic parasitic infection.
