Suggest Treatment For Vomiting And Diarrhea

My son is 33 and has Headache, nausea-with throwing up-and diarea, gets cold then hot then cold and hot.etc He came home early yesterday because he said he got too hot and drank a lot of water, but couldn t seem to not be thirsty-dry mouth. Couldn t sleep much last night because of having to get up and use restroom. Today started the diarea and throwing up.. Heat exhaustion seemed to be what I thought but I didn t know for sure.

Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM). I can understand your concerns regarding your son.
It seems that he is having acute infectious enteritis for which he requires a course of antibiotics like ofloxacin 200mg twice a day for 2 days along with some probiotic. Also give him adequate fluid and electrol powder to prevent fluid and electrolyte insufficiency. For vomitting give hin antiemetic agent like ondansetron thrice a day.
