Hi...I just got off the phone with my son who lives in CO and has told me he s been using cocaine off and on...anyway he said he s had the flu for the last 4 days...throwing up, nausea, and horrible heartburn 24/7...said his chest feels so tight and vessels in his neck are tight....and feels like a bubble trying to get through his heart...I m thinking it s not the flu but withdrawl symptoms from the cocaine...he is very week and no energy to even talk...just wondering what your thoughts are...I told him to go to the ER but said no he ll wait till tomorrow.

Suggest Treatment For Vomiting And Heartburn
Hi, Most likely cocaine-induced severe erosive gastritis with or without ulcer development. Strongly recommended visiting the ER if the vomiting is persistent, to avoid secondary dehydration and other grave sequences of the systemic effects. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
