Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
This has happened to me multiple times. After I went to bed the other night, after about 1 hour, I woke up nauseous. I ended up throwing up alot. After that, for probably and hour, my heart was racing and pounding. It scared me. It eventually stopped. This has happened maybe 4 times in the last few months.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Noted that you have had attacks of nausea, vomiting and racing, pounding heart; repeating 4 times in the last few months. Such an incidence can occur with either a problem with the heart which needs a careful cardiac evaluation and final diagnosis to wither confirm or to rule out the problem and if present get treated accordingly. There may be a problem with gastritis and related things as can be noted by an Upper GI Endoscopy and therapeutic response with a PPI like Omeprazole, Domperidone, antacid when on empty stomach, soft bland small frequent meals to avoid GERD. Get all these done as an early diagnosis can help you with proper care, avoidance of further attacks and obviously proper diagnosis and management of the causative factors.
