Suggest Treatment For Vomiting Post A Gallbladder Removal Surgery

8 days post op for gallbladder removal. No nausea or heartburn until yesterday, day 7, with addition of vomiting today. Only ate oatmeal and white crackers today, but vomit had brown splotches in it. Also haven t had a BM in 10 days. Urine was temporarily weird orange to neon color for past 24 hours. Assumed that was from ibuprofen, but maybe it s related to vomiting? Is nausea/heartburn/vomiting normal this many days after surgery?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello dear,

Warm welcome to HealthcareMagic!

I have evaluated your query thoroughly.

The vomiting on eighth day of surgery and no bowel movement in 10 days after surgery is absolutely not a normal part of recovery.
It must be addressed immediately by your consultant surgeon for further management.

Hope this clears your doubt.

Wishing you a fine recovery.

For any further assistance, please contact me.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon

Take care
